It's the best feeling when a client you've worked with previously, asks you to collaborate on another project. We worked with this sweet family before to pull together their dining room, and were delighted when they asked us to collaborate on the finish selections for their master bath renovation.

An architect was hired to reconfigure the floorplan of the bathroom, which changed dramatically. An oversized (and unused) garden tub was pulled out to make room for a generous double vanity and large, walk-in shower. Our task was to select finishes that were cohesive with the rest of the house, but felt new and fresh to the clients. The client has a beautiful white kitchen, but said she was "done" with all-white cabinets, etc. Still, we agreed to keep the space light and airy.

After a lot of trial and error (wood tones can be tricky!), the client chose a quarter-sawn oak cabinet style. We topped it with a cement-look Silestone countertop in a honed finish. To keep the design from going too rustic, we sourced a beautiful Calcutta gold mosaic tile backsplash, and Calcutta Gold field tile for the floor, which we had installed in a herringbone pattern. The white tile kept the overall palette light, without going against the client's "no all-white" rule.

We chose to mix polished nickel and aged brass finishes to bring a warm tone that wasn't too "matchy." A simple shade provides privacy, and satisfies our client's craving for all things animal print!
