AGI's Picks: Summer Style with Anthropologie

It’s hard to believe Summer is right around the corner, but can I just say, I am here. for. it! So, I was thrilled when the Homestylists at Anthroplogie - Bethesda, asked me to co-host a Summer Soiree at the gorgeous (and huge!) location. The theme of the Soiree focused on outdoor entertaining ideas. There were sips, snacks, and a brief Q&A, where I was able to talk about how we entertain during the Summer. For me, that means, casual, comfy, with all the right music, lighting, and opportunities for guests to make themselves right at home. I love the idea of offering a signature drink to set the vibe of the get-together - a maracuja (passionfruit) caiprioska as a nod to our Brazilian life, or a michelada bar for anyone who likes to put their own twist on a spicy beer! We talked about ways to include kids in any festivities - bubble machines, jars for catching fireflies, and blankets on the grass, so they can have their own “picnic” area. We also shared how feeling prepared, and comfortable in our personal style conveys a sense of calm to our guests - easy-to-slip-on sundresses, or anything with pockets are a no-brainer in my mind!

There were SO many goodies in the store, I’m amazed I didn’t burn a hole in my wallet! I saw many things I’d love to have for Mother’s Day - which is great, because everything is 20% off this weekend, so there’s no excuse not to treat my mom or myself! ;) Sharing some of my favorite picks from the event!
